Check-in reminders
Open your configured login and check-in pages without hunting through tabs or bookmarks.
Meet Boop: a lightweight helper for check-ins, commits, pushes and breaks. It stays out of the way, opens the school pages you configure, and can start with your computer.
CampusBoop is not made, endorsed, supported or distributed by Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA) or Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA). School names are used only to explain which study workflow the tool is designed around.
CampusBoop does not replace the school system. It helps you remember the steps around it.
Open your configured login and check-in pages without hunting through tabs or bookmarks.
While you work in VS Code, Boop can remind you to protect your work with regular commits and pushes.
Take a ten-minute quiet period, resume early, or keep working. You control the pace.
When you finish, mark yourself checked out locally and stop the reminders for the day.
Limit automatic reminders to selected weekdays and hours so Boop stays silent outside school time.
Windows and Linux can both launch CampusBoop automatically when you sign in.
Download the Windows ZIP or use the one-command installer. Linux users can use one command that automatically selects x64 or ARM64.
Run campusboop after command installation, or start the downloaded app manually.
Set the school login page, shared check-in page, optional separate check-in links and reminder intervals.
Enable automatic startup if you want Boop ready every time you sign in to your computer.
Version 1.0. Linux packages are native, self-contained builds; the installer verifies SHA-256 before installing.
For normal 64-bit Windows 10/11 PCs using Intel or AMD processors.
Download Windows ZIP ↓CampusBoop-v1.0-Windows-x64.zipFor most Linux desktops and laptops using 64-bit Intel or AMD processors.
Download Linux x64 ↓CampusBoop-v1.0-Linux-x64.zipFor 64-bit ARM Linux devices, including many Raspberry Pi and ARM computers.
Download Linux ARM64 ↓CampusBoop-v1.0-Linux-ARM64.zipDetects x64/ARM64, downloads the right ZIP, checks its SHA-256, installs for your user and creates the campusboop command.
curl -fsSL https://campusboop.creatorpromote.com/install-campusboop.sh | bashcampusboopcampusboop --autostart-oncampusboop --uninstallcampusboop --helpThis installs CampusBoop into your LocalAppData programs folder, adds the campusboop command for future terminals and creates a Start Menu shortcut.
irm https://campusboop.creatorpromote.com/install-campusboop.ps1 | iexcampusboopcampusboop --uninstallThe installers also print a short version of these instructions and a clickable link back here when supported by the terminal.
Open CampusBoop from the Start Menu, CampusBoop.exe, or a new terminal with campusboop. Choose whether the helper may stay in the background and whether it should start when you sign in.
Run campusboop. CampusBoop starts a local-only interface and opens it in your normal browser. Use campusboop --autostart-on to start it automatically when you sign in.
Open Settings and enter your HTTPS school login and check-in links. You can give Check-in 1 and Check-in 2 different names and URLs.
Use “Already checked in today” after you have completed the real school check-in. Use “Checked out for today” when you are finished to stop reminders until the next day.
campusboop --uninstall removes the installed app but keeps your local settings. campusboop --purge removes the app and CampusBoop’s saved local settings.
On X11, CampusBoop can use xdotool when available to check whether VS Code is foreground. On Wayland or without it, the fallback checks whether VS Code is running.
Personal login is optional. The Windows v1.0 app can store its optional saved login using Windows DPAPI for your Windows account and limits autofill to the configured trusted HvA/UvA ADFS login host. MFA/phone verification remains manual.
The Linux v1.0 build does not store your HvA/UvA password. School authentication opens in your normal browser, so browser/session security remains with your existing browser setup.
CampusBoop records “checked in” and “checked out” only as local reminder status. It does not claim that action was registered by the school system.
